Outcome of the project in 2025:
In 2025, our guests once again supported the project with great enthusiasm. This enabled us to finance an additional plot of land. More precise, 14.000 m² land in the Pupplinger Au. The Pupplinger Au is a riparian forest east of Wolfratshausen, which borders the Isar River for approximately six Kilometres in length and up to one Kilometre in width. The area is refuge to highly endangered animal species, such as the striped dragonfly. The Isar River Association will now protect this habitat.
Result from project 2024:
Last year, together with our guests, we bought 10.000 m² land near Föggenbeuern (30 km south from Munich) for the Isar River Association. This land used to be moorland and was drained at some point for agricultural use, but now is being re-naturalised. With this, carbon dioxide is bound in the soil and biodiversity is increased. We hope that with your support, we will be able to carry out a similar project this year.
