LENBACHHAUS

The municipal gallery is an art museum that's housed in the Lenbach Palais, a listed villa, and modern annexes. The Lenbachhaus owes its international renown to the unique collection of works by the group of artists known as "Der Blaue Reiter", with numerous pictures by Alexei Jawlensky, Wassily Kandinsky, Gabriele Münter, Franz Marc, August Macke, Marianne von Werefkin and Paul Klee.
