Since 1807, the Viktualienmarkt food market has been held every day except on Sundays and public holidays. A central maypole and well are distinctive features of the 2-hectare market, where you can get delicacies from all over the world or simply enjoy its hustle and bustle over a cool beer. And, by the, way, this is where the market women traditionally dance on Shrove Tuesday.
